Papathiyammal Pitchai Educational Trust is an educational and charitable trust registered under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, on 17 May 2010. The Trust is also registered with the Commissioner of Income Tax, Government of India, under the Income Tax Act, 1961.
The Trust holds valid registration under Sections 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act, enabling tax exemption benefits and eligibility for tax-deductible donations.
The Trust was founded by Shri. M. P. Rajaram, an agriculturist and educational philanthropist, in loving memory of his father Mr. Pitchai and mother Mrs. Papathiyammal. With a strong commitment towards rural educational development, the Trust was established to create better learning opportunities for students from economically and socially disadvantaged communities.
